My husband and I ate here today at the lunch buffet. It's a very small buffet, about 10 different entrees, a couple soups, white and fried rice, egg rolls and fried shrimp but everything was nice and fresh and hot. The pork and green bean dish was excellent as was the rice noodle entree...so tasty and flavorful. Food was in small enough amounts that freshly cooked food was brought out often. Dessert consisted of a couple fresh fruits, a pudding, a flan, a couple different cookies and fried doughnuts.Tea and water are included in the price...less than $9 for lunch. We found it clean and our only complaint, if you could call it that, was that there was only one waitress, and although the place was not swamped another waitress would have made things run a little smoother and quickly. We are going to be in the San Diego area for another month and I am sure we will make a trip or two back to this little place.

So here it is in a nutshell:The good: Quiet dining at night. There were only 1 other couple besides us so a nice place to enjoy a quiet dinner. Staff was great. Constant attention to our table and our drinks were never empty. You can tell this place is good for the retirees. The bad: the food was just not fresh. I can understand that it was late in the day but man, it wasnt even hot, just warm. Don't expect a large buffet. You get 4 different soups, about 10 different entree's, a little desert bar with jello and cookies.Overall, won't be returning. If I were the owner, I would expect my food to always be fresh. Service was great though!

Really really great little buffet for lunch or dinner. It's definitely not as big as the other Chinese buffets you see around, but the quality makes up for it. Everything is fresh and tasty. It's quiet and the waitstaff is impeccable. Our waters never got below half full and our plates were cleared quickly. The pork and green bean stir-fry is perfect. I ate two plates of just that. This is my favorite place if I'm feeling like some Chinese buffet.

I really wanted to like this place but this joint needs some serious work.We went in to eat the buffet for dinner and the problem: they weren't putting out fresh food. I can understand not wanting to waste food but this was ridiculous.Invest some money in the decor, get a new sign, advertise, and pump out fresh food and you'll have the best buffet in El Cajon. You have to give a little to get a little. If I was the owner I'd rather put out some fresh food than lose my customers to another restaurant.Don't be stingy people.

I placed an order to go on a Friday evening. It was enough food for 5 and was given an estimate 30 minute wait, which was fine. But 45 minutes passed, to even an hour. I asked about the time frame left to wait and felt completely ignored. The restaurant was full and it seemed under staffed with only one host taking to-go orders and managing the register. Feeling completely ignored and waiting over an hour and a half, I ended up just canceling my order and asking for my money back. I do NOT recommend this restaurant if you intend to order food and get it in less than an hour! I was EXTREMELY disappointed and it ruined my family's evening.?
